Tyre Sales NZ is a New Zealand owned and operated independent internet based tyre dealer, we are dedicated to helping you with your next tyre purchase.; even if you are not buying of us, we are happy to offer advice and we will do all we can to help you.
We started selling tyres in 1991 and since then we have kept to the same basic principles, firstly we offer our products at the lowest possible prices, and secondly we back that up with a desire to provide the highest levels of Customer Service and afterward. Over the last few years we have served many thousands of customers – most of whom return and purchase tyres from us again and again.
Uniquely amongst internet tyre retailers, we are full members of the MTA ( Motor trade Association) and closely follow that organisations code of ethics.
Terms and Conditions
Price Policy
All prices and descriptions are correct at the time of publication. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of our descriptions, prices, and availability data, we do reserve the right to amend these details following the completion of the order process; any changes are always confirmed with you before your order is despatched.
Delivery
All standard delivery charges (to the urban addresses in the NZ mainland – as defined by our courier’s standard service) are included in the prices shown on our website. We do not deliver to Rural Delivery (RD) addresses. Items are despatched by courier. Orders placed through the website out of office hours are processed the following working day and delivery details will be confirmed by email.
Courier Delivery
Items despatched by Courier are delivered between 08:00 and 17:30 hrs (Mon-Fri) and will require a signature on delivery. If there is nobody available to sign for the delivery the courier will leave a note to say they have called, you can then contact the courier direct to either collect the items from their depot or re-arrange the delivery for another day (during normal delivery hours). If a delivery is failed and the item is not subsequently collected from the couriers depot the items will be returned to us, we can then either despatch the items again at your cost, or issue a credit less the delivery charges (delivery is charged according to our couriers standard rates).
Delivery Damage or Shortages
Any delivery damage and product shortages must be notified to us within 2 days of receipt, we will collect and replace any damaged items and re-send any product shortages.
Additional Delivery Charges.
Where applicable and only with your consent, additional postage and packing charges may be added to your order prior to the despatch of your items. (this applies to delivery addresses outside the NZ mainland. As defined by our courier’s standard service tariff). Where the item is in stock, orders will normally be processed and despatched via the fastest possible route for delivery within 1-3 days. Delivery times to destinations outside the NZ mainland (as defined by our courier) may vary according to destination. Where products with different availabilities have been ordered, you will be notified of those products which are not in stock and an estimated delivery date.
Stock & Backorders
Our website shows items we have in physical stock along with items that are in stock or on backorder with our suppliers. You will be informed of any stock issues and given an estimated lead time when your order is processed.
Returns Policy
All of the tyres we sell are covered by a full tyre manufacturing company’s guarantee and in the unlikely event of a defect being discovered, please notify us within 7 days. In these instances, you freight the tyre back to us and we reimburse you for the freighting cost when the tyre arrives and the claim has been accepted. Your new tyre will be sent out immediately.
We do not issue credits for situations where the customer has changed their mind or made a mistake in ordering. Nor will we give credits for tyres that have been damaged during fitting.
Limit of liability
To the extent that we are able our company sells items with all warranties issued by the manufacturers. The company’s liability in respect of the goods or services provided is limited as follows: goods which are defective on delivery, or short on delivery (and where a claim has been made within 3 days as set out above) will be credited or replaced at the company’s option. In no case will the company’s liability in respect to defective goods or short or non-delivery or defective service exceed the purchase price of the goods involved or the invoice price of the service provided.
Title of Goods
We reserve the title of property to all products delivered, until all outstanding payments and demands concerning the order have been settled, including demands subject to condition. This also holds true for any ensuing payments. To exercise our title of property, we may demand the immediate return of the product without any right of retention, except in the event of legally binding or unrefuted claims. In the event of the customer reselling or otherwise disposing of the goods or any part thereof as the companies agent the customer will, until payment is made in full to the company of the price of the goods, hold in trust for the company out of the sale proceeds to the customer, an equivalent sum to the purchase price owed by the customer to the company.

It is prohibited to copy, distribute, change or offer access to a third party to the content of these web sites for commercial purposes. Some of our web sites include images, which are copyright of a third party. If not indicated otherwise, all trademarks on our web sites are registered. The use of our web sites does not grant any license to intellectual property by us or any third party.
Force Majeure
Our company will not be liable for failures or delays attributable to causes beyond our control, furthermore the company will not be liable for any loss caused to the customer, of whatever sort and however caused, even by the negligence of the company, arising out of or in any way connected with an order for goods or services placed with the company.
General
These conditions and the contract to which they relate shall be construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand: the contract shall be deemed to have been made at the company’s registered office; and the company and the customer submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand. These conditions of sale apply to and govern the supply of all goods or services by our company to the customer. There shall be no variation from these terms and conditions, unless the variations are expressly agreed in writing and the agreement is signed by a director of the company.
