Yes, Tyresales is now accepting Visa and MasterCard payments through “Paymate” which provides a secure, reliable and innovative internet-based payment system to consumers buying tyres on the internet. The great thing about Paymate is that there is no need to fill out lengthy registration forms or create usernames and passwords that you soon forget. With Paymate, all you do is enter your credit card details securely and authorise the payment.
Paymate is an ultra secure payment system which captures your credit card details on a secure page, encrypting all sensitive details for storage. Your card details are kept secret between you the Customer and Paymate meeting all Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards for the safe storage and handling of credit card data.
Paymate does not accept American Express so we have retained “Paypal” as an option for Amex users plus those folks who are Paypal members. Paypal is a very secure payment channel but basically requires users to record their life history over pages of forms. It simply is not user friendly like Paymate. We contacted Paypal on a number of occasions about this and were given hopelessly wrong information and got the usual “Multinational Company Brushoff” when we dared to point this out.
So Tyresales now has three payment paths for buying online tyres; Paymate, Direct Credit to our bank account and Paypal. All with the backing of our MTA (Motortrade Association) partner.
